THE HOOLIGAN HAT

The Hooligan Hat has been designed especially for Hooligan Yarns by Catrina Frost and features single-sheep yarn from our unique flock of rehomed and rescued animals in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire, England. The Hooligan Hat is comfortable to wear and easy to knit up. It features a beautiful twisted stitch pattern, sure to keep your fingers moving.
Finished Sizes: 16 3⁄4 (19 1⁄4)” / 42(48) cm circumference at brim and 7 3⁄4 (7 3⁄4)” / 19(19) cm tall.
Yarn: Hooligan Yarn DK weight 1(1) 100g ball.
Hat shown is a size 16 3⁄4”/42 cm circumference knit with Dumpy’s yarn.
Needles: US size 5 /UK size 9 (3.75 mm) dpns or preferred needle style for small circumference knitting.
Please note this is the suggested needle size to begin swatching with. Adjust your needle size if necessary, to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions: Marker (m) and a tapestry needle. Gauge: 20 sts and 30 rows = 4”/10 cm in patt
Difficulty: Intermediate
Notes: This hat is knitted in the round from the brim up. Crown shaping is achieved through decreases.
